This Privacy Notice explains how Mainifesto collects and uses personal data when you visit mainifesto.com, contact us, subscribe to updates or interact with the website.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Francesc Gasch Garcia, trading as Mainifesto, Almirall Pròixida 1, 2nd floor, door 15, Barcelona, Spain. Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@francescgaschstudio.com. General editorial enquiries can be sent to info@mainifesto.com.

Data we may collect

  • Information you provide when you contact us or subscribe, such as your name, email address and message.
  • Comment data, including the information entered in the comment form, IP address and browser user agent, where comments are enabled.
  • Technical and security logs, such as IP address, requested URL, date, device and browser information.
  • Cookie choices and, only where the required consent has been given, analytics or advertising information.

Why we use personal data

We use personal data to answer enquiries, manage subscriptions and comments, operate and secure the website, understand consented website usage and, when advertising is enabled, display and measure advertising. The applicable legal bases are your consent, steps taken at your request, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in publishing, communicating with readers and protecting the service.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Mainifesto uses Google’s consent management platform to record advertising and analytics choices. Where the consent message applies, you can consent, refuse or manage purposes and providers, and later reopen it using “Privacy and cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Google Analytics loads only after our website receives an affirmative analytics consent signal. See our Cookie Policy for information about cookies, services and withdrawal.

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, limit, measure and report advertising. Google’s code loads to display the consent message and handle advertising. Advertising storage and personalisation depend on the applicable consent signals and Google’s configuration; refusing consent may limit the advertising available. You can also manage Google advertising choices through My Ad Center.

Service providers and international transfers

We use providers needed to host, secure, deliver email, measure the site and display embedded or advertising content. These may include our hosting provider, Resend, Google Analytics, YouTube and, when activated, Google AdSense. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer must rely on an applicable legal mechanism and the provider’s safeguards.

Embedded content from other websites can behave as if you visited that service directly. YouTube and other external players are kept unloaded until you choose “Allow and load”. This connects your browser to the provider, which receives your IP address and may use cookies or similar technologies. You can unload activated players using “Stop external content” at the bottom of the page. If you use Gravatar with comments, an anonymised string derived from your email address may be provided to that service to check for a profile image.

Retention and sharing

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain security records or to meet legal obligations. Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe; correspondence is retained only as necessary; comments may remain while the related article is published. We do not sell visitors’ personal data. Data is shared only with providers acting for the purposes described above or where required by law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact info@francescgaschstudio.com to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.

Children and changes to this notice

Mainifesto is not directed at children and does not knowingly seek their personal data. We may update this notice when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The current date will always appear at the top of this page.
