Mainifesto is an independent English-language editorial magazine exploring architecture, interiors, product design, technology and design culture through critical and speculative perspectives.

Founded and edited by Francesc Gasch, a Barcelona-based designer, Mainifesto examines not only what is being designed, but what those choices reveal about society, power, materials and the future. The aim is to make complex design debates accessible without flattening their contradictions.

What we publish

Our articles include speculative concepts, critical responses to current reporting, balanced debates and thesis-led lists. For current-affairs coverage, selected sources provide context for Mainifesto’s own editorial criteria, analysis and original opinions. The corresponding source is identified when applicable.

Editorial responsibility

Artificial intelligence may assist the production of text, images, narration and video. Editorial direction, standards and responsibility remain with Francesc Gasch. Public videos are linked to their corresponding articles and synthetic media is identified where the platform provides an appropriate disclosure.
